THE ASK

Relaunch a brand that desperately needs the redesign.

OBJECTIVE

Reintroduce Myspace to it's original users by reminding
them of the good ol' days and informing them that
Myspace is back and better than ever.

ROLE

Art Direction / Strategy / Copy

SOLUTION

WEBSITE REDESIGN

We reworked the site to create a design that embraced the aspects that people loved about the old Myspace layout with those they lack from current social platforms.

HORIZONTAL SCROLL

SIMPLE NAVIGATION

PROFILE PLAYLIST (PARTNERING WITH SPOTIFY)

CUSTOMIZABLE:

  • HERO IMAGE
  • FONTS
  • BACKGROUND COLOR
  • ABOUT ME
  • TOP 8

Social Blast

The Myspace relaunch campaign would drop similar to a mix tape. To start, Myspace's owner Justin Timberlake would tweet at Myspace hinting at a big release for the website's anniversary (8/1/2003) and encouraging people to alert their top 8 of the news.

Jimmy Kimmel would also host a segment on his show doing street interviews asking people how they'd feel if Myspace came back.

digital ads

On the day of relaunch, Myspace would run  click through ads on all other social platforms directing people to the new improved Myspace website. These ads would be short snapshots of pop culture during Myspace's heydays masked behind their iconic logo.
