When a child plays with a doll, they learn, they grow, and their whole world opens up.

In a recent neuroscientific study, Barbie found that doll play is linked to greater levels of empathy.
Children are the next generation of adults, and a little extra empathy in the world would be a very good thing for us all.

And if a doll can help a child develop empathy, then a doll can help change the world.

In this global campaign, we posed the question, what if everyone was a little more empathetic?

If a doll can change the world, it can change the news to be a bit brighter.

We worked with The Washington Post to create, for the first time ever, an Empathy Issue. Curated by Barbie.
